What's in a name?

THE MEANING BEHIND WON80

The WON80 name is very symbolic to me for two distinct reasons. First, I feel that as a society, our sense of positive sportsmanship and fair play has eroded to the point where they are scarcely evident anymore. 180 degrees represents a complete change of direction, which is what I feel is necessary to save youth, school, and community athletic programming. Second, society tends to think in terms of winning or losing. The "WON" in WON80 intimates that by returning positive sportsmanship to the games and activities we love, we "win". The result of these beliefs led me to the name WON80.
